Thirlmere trails - latest access status

The storms across Cumbria in December 2015 had a severe impact on our land. Our teams have been working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, however we have closed some of our trails until further notice to ensure public safety.

Car parks at Dobgil, Armboth, Steel End, Wythburn, Legburthwaite and The Dam Triangle are now open. Thank you for bearing with us. We expect the car park at Swirls will open in September, once our work to create a pedestrian underpass is complete.

This is the current information (November 2016). We will continue to update these pages with any changes.
