Peak district

The Peak District is an upland area in central and northern England, lying mainly in northern Derbyshire, but also covering parts of Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, and South and West Yorkshire.

Peak District reservoirs supply surrounding towns and cities with 450 million litres of water a day.

The Peak District has some of the most popular climbing areas in the UK. The highest point in the Peak District is 'Kinder Scout' at 636 metres.
